What does this Tinubu boy know. Is it not the amount left after the coffer is looted by his Oga that he hopes to use and get to work? Let him not blow his expectation because Oga at the Top must chop first Governor Tinubu and Deputy Governor Ambode

To me, all this things will add little or no advantage to the traffic problem in Lagos.

Lets face the fact. Lagos is a conflex town and alot of cars are in Lagos. The only way to reduce traffic in Lagos is to reduce the need for cars.

I think is high time Lagos Gov. think of subways trains. That is the best. In matter of minutes, one will be commuted from Ipaja to Yaba etc.

LASG can't build 8 lane roads to everyone's house in Lagos. There will always be bottlenecks hence traffic. They should invest more in alternate means of transport like the waterways and rail/tram etc. Then the over dependence on Lagos motorways will reduce.

Main cause of traffic in Lagos is danfo drivers stopping on the road to pick passengers, very good examples are Orile and Sabo bus stops. Another reason is bad roads, when commuters avoid the bad portions, example of this is Obalende.

--Improve traffic radio 96.1fm
--Increase the number of LASTMA on the road
--Increase the number of CCTV cameras and quality of information on www.tsaboin.com
--Fix the pot holes
--Take care of the danfo drivers
--More fly-overs: both pedestrian and for vehicles

most importantly, danfo drivers, once you can get the drivers to park very well and behave themselves, you can reduce traffic time by half in Lagos, pot holes then we are talking about another 15mins off.

running before he can walk undecided

1. Fix the pot holes
2. Sort out bus stops away from the road and enforce
3. Increase Pedestrian over head bridges
4. Re train Latsma . . cos apart from jumping into peoples cars, I wonder what else they do well to keep the traffic flowing
5. Enforce road worthyness of vehicles . . those degbewo over loaded trailers that make people scared to overtake are a cause of congestion too.
6. Deal with drainage issues and refuse. . . .in the rainy season one doesnt know a small pot hole from a crater
7. Build more bridges & underpasses

. . After you have done all this . . . . . . .Then you can waste money by giving your friends contracts that will never work, on apps and "smart traffic information solutions".

We are talking about Lagos . . . not London!

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has set his sights on drastically reducing the traffic problem bedeviling the State by introducing a world class traffic information and management system.

The globally tested traffic system which has worked for many cities similar to Lagos may have caught the eye of the Governor who wants to see Lagosians spend less hours in traffic and more in their offices and at work, according to the State government.

Investigations have revealed that in the next couple of weeks, the governor will work with some experts to design a system that fits the Lagos traffic pattern.

And this will be managed by UNEDUCATED children in Lagos state that Tinubu/Fashola/Ambode have refused to ensure they all go to school for the past 16 years despite increasing annual budget over 10 times from less than N45 billion in 2000 to almost N500 billion in 2015.

Just like the ABANDONED light rail system this is just another FRAUDULENT scheme to steal our money.

He, therefore, explained that the state government already “has in place, strategies to repay the loan. The federal government was in the know of the state’s decision to take the bond and it approved it.”

He added that the truth “is that what they do not also say is that no state in Nigeria can borrow money outside, from any multilateral agencies without the approval of the federal government.

“What they did not say is that they approved it. No state can raise money by bond the way we have done without the federal government’s approval. Both SEC and NSE are all federal regulatory agencies through which we must pass. If they said okay, it means there must be something good about the debt.

Lagos is home to some of the worst traffic congestion in the world. Traffic congestion is a daily challenge in the metropolis with highly undesirable socioeconomic and environmental effects, increasing stress and pollution levels and reducing overall productivity. There is an urgency to decongest perennial traffic spots like the Third Mainland Bridge, Abule Egba, Apapa, Ojota and Dopemu.

The State says it will introduce a world class traffic information and management system. A smart network comprising of hundreds of cameras, road sensors and electronic displays have been specially designed to collect and deliver real time information to city commuters that will help regulate traffic.

Highly visible displays and a mobile phone application will flag highly congested hotspots, suggest alternative routes and estimate arrival times – all in real time, according to the traffic management blueprint.

The State government says it realises that information is power and is set to empower Lagosians with more traffic information ahead of time.

Ambode has also said he is confident of reducing the time spent in traffic, drastically improve each commuter’s quality of life and improve the city’s productivity as a whole. The Governor avers that in big cities of the world, traffic information systems have helped improve traffic flow to a large percentage.

Since he took over the reins, Gov Ambode has spent more time trying to solve the Apapa traffic conundrum and other traffic related problems in Lagos.

Absolutely! That is what can solve the traffic jam. Nairobi had to construct more flyovers and expand inner roads. No amount of information will bring about decongestion

True that. Only alternative means of transport like rail or ferries can significantly reduce the congestion on Lagos roads. A traffic management system as proposed by the governor, will only provide marginal relief.

When will the Lagos Rail project be completed that's what we want to know.

After over $1 billion World Bank loan spent, Ambode is still talking of more gbese debt before the aloku metal scrap trains Fashola "bought" in 2011 can ever be used in Lagos embarassed embarassed

When is the light rail going to be delivered, the project seems to be going on for years?

I just said it, it’s being funded by Lagos State and the Federal Government support is not there. But I believe strongly that we will create a financial restructuring that will allow us to deliver that light rail within the next 18 months.

Can anyone reconcile the fact that the federal government approved LASG's World Bank loan for this project yet the new governor dey spin us long tales of no federal support. He must think we are all baby pikins wey mama fit tell FAKE tory angry
