There Is Hope, Buhari Tells Terror Victims by Yem0350: 7:40pm On Jul 02, 2015
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday assured
victims of terrorism across the country and indeed all
Nigerians that there is hope for them.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo delivered the President’s
message of assurance when he visited internally-
displaced persons in the NYSC Orientation Camp and
terrorism patients at the Federal Medical Centre both in
Yola, Adamawa State.
Osinbajo has since Wednesday embarked on visits to the
North-Eastern part of the country which is the hotbed of
activities of the Boko Haram on the instruction of the
President.
He assured the displaced persons that Buhari would
ensure that everything is done to resettle them back to
their homes.
“The President asks me to say to you that there is hope,
great hope. That the Federal Government, under his
leadership, will ensure everything is done to provide for
you and resettle you back to your homes, your work,
your businesses and your places of worship,” a
statement by the Presidency quoted Osinbajo as saying.
The Vice President however asked the people concerned
to be patient with the government.
He said patience was needed because the government is
not too buoyant.
“But you have to be patient, you have to be patient. As
you know, the government has very little money. We are
running after all the money everywhere, so that we use
it to serve you,” he was quoted to have said.
He said despite the poor financial status of the
government, however, the President thinks of the
victims everyday.
“Everyday, the President is thinking about you. That is
why he sent me to come and see, take notes to
understand what is going on, to hear from you, so that I
can report to him for positive actions. That is why I am
here,” he added.
Osinbajo also said the Federal Government will take the
need to sweep off land mines and other forms of
explosives from farmlands in territories recently
recovered from insurgents seriously.
He said the task of de-mining affected farmlands in the
recovered areas ravaged by insurgency would receive
utmost priority of government, as it is a very important
step in achieving the primary objective of rehabilitation
and resettlement of displaced persons back to their
homes.
While commenting on the problem of unemployment
and poverty in Adamawa State, the VP disclosed that his
party, the All Progressives Congress, is specifically
concerned with these major problems.
Osinbajo assured the government of Adamawa State
that the present administration was committed to
assisting in rebuilding and reconstructing affected parts
of the state.

If Buhari says there is hope, then i believe him.

I am 100% certain he is working behind the scene to curb our domestic terrorism. It will only take a short time, but Boko Haram and their fellow travelers will soon be relegated to the dungeon of irrelevancy and history.

Nigeria is on the path to greatness.

Osinbajo should not let these Gambaris turn him into a jester ooo. "govt has little money, we are running after the money everywhere so we can use it to serve you people" hahahahahaha

Let's even concede they are able to trace stolen money to some foreign accounts, does he know how long it takes to repatriate such funds. More than sixteen years after Abacha's demise where are still begging and negotiating for the return of his traced loot. if that's what they are depending on to resettle these people then I foresee the camp remaining open for a long time to come. What a way to raise hope
