How Does The Melody Suppressor Work?

There are 550 different panel voices, drum kits, and sound effects that come with the E343. In addition to grand piano, you can choose to play other instruments such as Bright Organ, Tenor Sax, or 60s Clean Guitar among many others. These can be played either solo or you can layer them as backgrounds as you play piano.

Additionally, harmonies such as Duet, Country, Octave, and Echo can be played in conjunction with the main voice by splitting the keyboard into left and right sections.

To further enhance the way the keyboard sounds, add reverb effects to make it seem as if you’re playing in a concert hall, or add chorus for a warmer and rich sound.

Finally, a huge variety (136 total) of rhythm, bass, and chord styles from many music genres can be used to accompany your play.

Can You Record Music With This Keyboard?

A two-track recorder allows you to save your performances (the Yamaha P255 also has recording capability). Roughly 10,000 notes or 5000 chords can be saved as five user songs.

The keyboard also can send or receive MIDI information to and from a computer by using a USB cable. An iPad or iPhone can also be connected through this port which allows you to control specific functions of the keyboard.

What Are The Downsides Of This Piano?

Users are hard pressed to find much wrong with the Yamaha PSR E343. Surprisingly, it has the same drawback that the PSR E243 has. It does not come with a power adapter to plug into an outlet. It still runs on batteries, so this should not be a deal breaker for consumers. There is a built in auto power-off function when idle after a customized period of time to help save on batteries.
