THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES
Events today took a very strange turn, with several police officers and armour tanks stationed outside the university campus. When information got to us, we discovered that the university management had written to the inspector general of police on Sunday, 12th of July 2015, telling him that the ongoing protest by the non academic staff union of university, OAU chapter had resulted in the death of a pupil of the OAU international staff school.
When the Area commander, who was representing the I.G got here, he met a wild crowd who threatened to let all hell loose if they touched their leader, Comrade Wole Odewunmi. As events took turn, they reached an agreement (The Area Commander and NASU leadership) to go to the school (OAU international staff school) themselves to see what was happening. On getting there, they met with some teachers who testified that protest activities hasn't been taking place within the school (OAUISS) premises, and none of their students had been killed.
When things became stable, and the police tanks stationed outside the campus had dispersed, the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC chairman Osun state addressed the group of protesters, telling them not to back down in the struggle, and make sure they remain unified in the fight for their right. Accordingly, Comrade Wole Odewunmi addressed members of his union, told them that they are winning the fight, and very soon the appropriate things will be done, and that they will all live to reap the reward of the struggle.
When oauolofofo finally had the chance to meet with the NASU chairman, he revealed to us that the university management have become a group of untruthful people, who tell lies in order to cheat their staffs. He also told us that he had written to the presidency, and he got a reply; promising that they will intervene within the next few days.
