I was a month ago for 5 weeks in Cotonou, its very safe don't worry about that, for sure there are some locations where you better stay away during night, but that is every where in the world. There are a lot of hotels in Cotonou, from expensive ones (Marina, Novotel, etc, ) till average (Hotel du port, Hotel du Lac, etc, ) and cheap ones (TramWay, , ) it depends on what you want (swimming pool, , ) Cotonou is a nice location to explore the Slave Route, Lake Ganvie, Grand Popo (one of the most beautifully beaches in the world° Have a nice trip and stay. |

Expencive ones : Marina, Novotel: 70000 CFA Average: Du Port, Du Lac: 45000 CFA Good hotel but cheaper (no swimming pool) : TramWay : 25000 CFA (with AC) I real recommend this one, nice people, restaurant (local and Europe food), nice bar with live band in the week-end. Enjoy. |
