The Rivers state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Bar Emma Aguma, may have been served his first baptism of fire which the unpredictable and rough terrain of politics holds for its travelers as he is said to have collapsed during a court section in Yenegoa on Monday.

Unconfirmed reports has it that the Rivers state Attorney General who was in court to follow up proceedings on the case instituted by the newly elected local council chairmen in Rivers state in the National Industrial Court in Yenegoa suddenly slumped when the trial Judge gave verdict ordering for a reinstatement of the 22 council chairmen that had been pushed out of office following a High Court ruling last week by Justice Lambo Akanbi in Port Harcourt. According to our source, the shock which may have led to the slumping of the state AG may not be unconnected to the fierce struggle between the members of the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party in the state over who will control the grassroots as they prepare for a possible rerun governorship elections, if the election tribunal sitting in Abuja annuls the April 11th governorship elelction in Rivers state.

Mr Emma Aguma has however issued a statement denying ever fainting in Court on Monday.
