The fresh enforcement ban of frozen turkey and chicken which the Nigeria Customs Service flagged off on the 7th of July has made their prices go up by 35%. A kilo of turkey which normally sells for N750 at local stores and in the market in now N1,150 while a kilo of chicken which was N650 now sells for N1,050. A carton of turkey which was sold for N7,500 now goes for N11,000 while, a carton of chicken which was N6,500 is now N9,500. Consumers have been complaining especially during this season of Ramadan coupled with the long holidays when families are expected to be together and have the best of times. How much did you buy a kilo Today? jooelenemali..nl/2015/07/turkey-chicken-prices-goes-up-in.html?m=1

That is the best way to improve the local production. infact they should even seize the ones in the markets.

This sector alone can create a million jobs in less than 2 years.

As if FG is helping medium and small scale farmers to boost local production. They are have been talking bout govt intervention for a long time, me I did not feel the impact is there is one.

Very good development. This has increased my own sales of both live and processed chicken. Scaling up my production now to attract more customers.
