It's so sad that we have so many Christians in Nigeria and as a matter of fact, a blatant astronomical proliferation of churches but a non-commensurate reduction in corruption, kidnapping, ritual killings, sexual immorality and other despicable vices! Many prosperity preachers exploit their congregation as a result of the harsh economic climate and some of these pastors own private jets while members of their flock can't afford 3-square meals! From the grapevine and confirmed reports, we hear that some of these pastors get their "miraculous powers" from fetish means and even stage manage their "miracles!" God is watching!
Nigerian Christians need to work on their sincerity and commitment levels! If we are really sincere and committed Christians, all the evil in the land will stop and milk and honey will flow!It is because we are mostly hypocrites that we are in this mess that we are today. We need to stop seeing our faith as a business venture calculated in naira and kobo!God is not an entrepreneur we do business with; He is a loving Father who loves us eternally, with whom we have a lasting relationship with irrespective of our financial status!God did not promise us a life that is a bed of roses but one in which He is always present to give us soccour and strength to carry whatever crosses He has given us to bear
Let the truth be told! There is a bit of hypocrisy in all of us as we are naturally inclined to sin!But we can overcome this by submitting ourselves to God's grace and being trully sincere in our quest to love God and our neigbour. We all must learn to embrace God unconditionally and follow Him blindly without question but with complete faith and trust!May the supreme will of God be done in our land and may God use us, Nigerian Christians, to transform our nation into the Promised Land that it should be in Jesus name.Amen.
