Operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Sunday arrested Mr. Moses Jitoboh‎, Chief Personal Security Officer to former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

Jitoboh, a serving Commissioner of Police, THISDAY gathered, was arrested by EFCC operatives after shortly after luring him into the Presidential Villa.

Jitoboh served as ADC to Jonathan when the latter served as vice and acting President, and is the third security aide of the fomer president to face harassment in a week.

An EFCC source told THISDAY that Jitoboh was "brought into our custody‎" on Sunday evening.

As at the time of this report, EFCC spokesman Mr. Wilson Uwujaren told THISDAY‎ he didn't have any information on the reported arrest.

Last Thursday, ‎operatives of the Department of State Security Services (DSS) stormed the Abuja and Sokoto residences of Jonathan's National Security Adviser (NSA) Colonel Sambo Dasuki to execute a search warrant.

On the same day, DSS arrested Mr. Gordon Obuah, Chief Security Officer (CSO) to former President Jonathan.

While the DSS has said it invaded Dasuki's residences following intelligence on the possibility of treasonable felony, the Service has, however, been silent on Obuah's arrest.

‎Born June 1, 1970, Jitoboh enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) on June 25, 1994, and was confirmed ASP two years later.

in 1999, he was appointed ADC to Governor Diepreyie ‎Alamieyeseigha of Bayelsa State. Jitoboh lost his job as ADC following Alamieyeseigha's impeachment and Jonathan's swearing-in as substantive governor.

Jitoboh, however, resurfaced as ADC in 2007 when Jonathan emerged V‎ice President. He continued as ADC until May 2010 when Jonathan was sworn in as substantive President and thereafter continued as Chief Personal Security Officer.

The EFCC don't hav to tell the overzealous press sometimes. Someway/somehow, they will know. They can get the information from the family of the person in question, friends, enemies and so on.

l like the way this chess game is being played by the govt:get all those in the know at different times and locations, interrogate them and later show to each the statements implicating each other. Later they all decide to confess and unmask the man behind all the horrible things and theft that happened:when GEJ is thereafter charged before a court of law with overwhelming evidence from all these investigations and confessions by his closest aides,even he would have no choice than to start pleading for forgiveness& clemency.

Since it was a crime to have served Jonathan, why not just invite all of them that served in the administration, detain them and ask them to individually and collectively prove their innocence to the phantom charges. This daily entertainment is tiring

Nobody is going to dare touch Jonathan, its not even possible in the dreams land.
Honestly, what buhari is doing is purely media sensationalism. The man is not even serious with governance, and he is very confused. in order to hide his un-seriousness and confusion, he has decided to go into a wild goose chase, so as to give the mufus that voted for him something to cheer. Now all that the ignorant mufus that voted for him are interested in; is one probe after another, while the highest level of mis-governance is going on in this kleptocratic govt.

Four years will pass by and this administration will not achieve anything.and by the time it realises itself and it can not find any thing against GEJ.it will resort to blackmail.

The new government is looking back to know why things are what they were before in order to know how to make things better.
In doing this, people who served the immediate past government are find wanting in their services while in government.
What is bad in inviting them to come and say what they know about how things were done when they were in control.
Anyone find to have soiled his/her hand will face prosecution, while those find to be honest will go home. There is no witch-hunt of anybody, no body is a target as people are making insinuations. There is always a time for corrections after a long period of corruption. We are in corrections period now.
