Kwara donates .2million to people living with HIV/AIDS
Kwara State Government has empowered members of People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in the state with N200,000.00. Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Joel Afolabi Ogundeji who gave out the money said government was committed towards making life meaningful for them, adding that the empowerment would enable them apply the skills they learnt during a two-day skill acquisition programme organized for them.

100 members of the PLWHA benefited from the empowerment with N20,000.00 each. Speaking, the project manager, Dr Oyeniyi said that the state government organized the two-day skill acquisition workshop for the people to make them self-reliant.

Responding on behalf of others, Miss Funmi Peter from Isin Local Government Area commended the state government for the concern for them. She said what the state government had done demonstrated its commitment towards alleviating the suffering of the people.
