@samystyler,elect/elect has d highest no of applicants.it seems up to 200 applied out of which jst 15 were choosen.infact,it was competitive as it was not based on merit cos 2 of my friends dt have distinction 4rm a neighbouring poly(fedpolyede)found their names missing on d list.even one graduated wit d highest cgpa in his set i.e last year(3.77/4.00)precisely.one of their friend frm same poly grad wit 3.07(upper credit)and was choosen courtesy of d power dat be.I also made distinction 4rm fedpolyede(2007)bt wit God and recommendation 4rm d faculty secretary,my name was included in d Hod list.Chemical engr is nt so dt competitive.u jst hv 2 pray cos i learnt less dan 30 applied bt don't know anytin abt their list.which schl do u grad?cos it also depends on your schl.preference is given 2 fedpolyede,ado,yabatech.

Lest i 4get,i also learnt dat d dean will include his own names(like 10)for elect summing up to 25 in general.so,chemical wil be up to 15 names depending on the no of qualified candidates.

For competive courses like medicine,law and engineering.i think underground connection is need for u name to come out on their merit n lecturer slot

@ccollins,its a lie!merit list is different,it means u score up to the cut-off marks either the course is competitive or not,the category u're talking i think falls into the supplementary list,i wish muyeskin was here to shed more light on it!

U r right @ kadz, merit is 4 only thz d@ merit it. i.e score up to or abv d cutoff while supp list is 4 lecturers slot.

@Damoulux, kaydz, collins etc, pls what exactly are we disscussing, cos i really am completely shot out . Is it still Ume adm. List or now DE List?

man i gradtd 4rm imt enugu its a state own poly. i submitted my transcript and am sure it got thru all processes down to the hods office. but the hod insisted it waz going to b thru merit. will the dean include names in2 oda dpartment oda 4rm elect? do they also put o level in2 consideration? pls reply

The lastest news!!! A senior worker at d senate building told me dat d list is ready on computer bt it has nt bin opened in such a way dat people wil have acess 2 it.he even said dat there is a verdict dat everyone would have 2 buy #1000 card 4 checking their admission status starting 4rm next wek.my friend jst arrived 4rm ife 2day and he met wit d dean of tech who told him all lists concerning tech will leave his table early next week, (don't know where d list is going?).i heard also dat their is strike on campus!making d list a probable one next week!

Well, it's good to be optimistic. I know it's going to be out very soon sha.

And as for those saying that the merit list is out, pls go and bury ur info. I just called the College Secretary now and he confirmed it that it's not out yet.

It is fascinating to note that, notwithstanding the so much pain and trial of patience, the authorities of OAU has unleashed on we, who are at her mercy, u guys still have the voice to eulogize her nobility, fame and eminency among her rivals. I indeed, admire this rare and remarkable posture. Be that as it may, let us not resort to criticism by way of desparation, for it will not solve our present problem rather it will help in complicating and compounding it, by further throwing on the cesspit of despondency. Pls i can't say this any less. (Don't start shouting me down, as grammar boy)
