To browse with MTN on opera, go to settings and change protocol from "socket/http to http

I had same issue but i put in a glo sim and it work and later return the the mtn sim and it now working back.

Try inserting another sim network and after browsing for like 10minutes, return the Mtn sim and try browsing.
