The emphatic answer here is capital NO! No
one should seek to use the devil as an alibi
to excuse away his or her wrong doing; or
adopt a helpless stance and loosely blame
the devil for every and all misdeeds.
Man, as a spiritual being, has been equipped
with a strong protective instrument called
the intuition. The intuition should serve as a
constant guide for man on earth in the
decisions and actions he takes using his
free-will. This intuition manifests as the
delicate nudging of our conscience each
time we want to carry out an action. Where
the action intended is a wrong one, this
conscience even expresses its revolt in more
forceful manner- hence the rapid and sudden
increase, in some people, of the heat-beat.
It takes a deliberate ignoring or silencing of
the intuition and conscience by man to be
able to indulge in an evil act. Usually it is a
deliberate yielding to the intellect and
refusal to adhere to the promptings of the
spirit that enables man to do an evil act.
The point being made therefore is that a
spiritually conscious and active human being
should be able to resist all evil and not yield
to wrong doing. The so called devil does not
have the power to force man to carry out
evil deeds, if the man himself has achieved
that inner control or discipline which comes
through listening to an alert intuition or
conscience.
The intuition is further purified when man
devotes his life towards spiritual growth and
development through the knowledge of and
living in accordance with the Will of God in
Creation. That way the intellect of man will
assume its rightful position as a tool to the
spirit. Consequently man would desist from
the greedy and inordinate pursuit of
materialism, power and position, matters
which often dispose him to evil deeds; and
turn his gaze towards spiritual development
which enjoins him to ‘love his neighbour as
himself’. This disposition of love towards
others automatically acts as a protection
against evil deeds. lifesexperiencesexplained.com/
