Before now it was not a big deal to give your ATM card to Anybody or throw it around in the sitting provided you alone know the PIN. But with the emergence and spread of e-Commerce and other online transactions keeping your debit card carelessly is now a risk you shouldn't dare to TAKE. Even without revealing your PIN somebody can use your card to pay his/her bills. So how is this possible?

First, on some e-Commerce websites (I don't want to call names) someone can use your card to make payments. This is because these websites only require your card number (the numbers on the front of your card), your CCV (the 3 digits at the back of your card), the card expiry date, etc. All these details are obtainable from your card and no PIN is required.
