She says that they are not only related and friends, but were brought up together. For good measure, she adds, “They are twins”, so we understand how close.

SHELL REMITS N720BN TO NDDC IN 16 YEARS – GM

Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) and partners have remitted about two billion U.S. Dollars (about N720 billion) to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in 16 years, an official said.

BREAKING NEWS: NNPC DISCOVERS CRUDE OIL IN NORTHERN NIGERIA

A press release by the Corporation’s Acting Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Mr. Samson Makoji, stated that NNPC acquired 435.54km2 of 3D Seismic Data over Kolmani Prospect in the Upper Benue Trough, Gongola Basin. This was to evaluate Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) Kolmani River 1 Well Discovery of 33 BCF and explore deeper levels.

The well was drilled with “IKENGA RIG 101” to a total depth of 13,701feet encountering oil and gas in several levels. A Drill Stem Test (DST) is currently on-going to confirm the commercial viability and flow of the Kolmani River reservoirs.

COURT REMANDS TEENAGER FOR ALLEGEDLY RAPING NEIGHBOURS 50-YEAR-OLD MOTHER

A Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Kano on Friday ordered that a teenager, Babangida Inusa, who allegedly raped his neighbour’s 50-year-old mother, be remanded in a correctional centre, pending legal advice.

The police charged Inusa, who resides at Falgore Village, Kabo Local Government Area of Kano, with rape.

Chief Magistrate, Muhammad Idris, who did not take the plea of Inusa, ordered the police to return the case file to the Kano State Directorate of Public Prosecution for legal advice.

Idris adjourned the case until Dec.12, for further mention.

Similarly, a loan of N850,000,000.00 being counterpart funding paid Bauchi State by for the Rural Access and Agriculture Mobility Project (RAAMP) has not been captured in the debt portfolio of the State by both the Office of the Accountant General of Bauchi State and Debt Management Agency (Bauchi State).
