Cleric Explains Why Calling President Buhari ‘baba Go Slow’ Is Inappropriate by folks4luv(f): 12:03am On Jul 27, 2015 |
A cleric from Oyo state urged Nigerians to be
patient with President Muhammadu Buhari
over the delay in appointing the new ministers
and taking other crucial decisions.
Moses Kasali of Mercy of Prayer Ministry,
Ibadan, made the call on Saturday, July 25,
addressing the congregation in the capital of
Oyo state.
He expressed optimism that the president
would pick the new ministers within the first
100 days of his administration (by September
6, 2015).
Kasali noted that Buhari should not be tagged
as ‘Baba Go Slow’, said the leader of the
country was analysing the situation to ensure
nomination and appointment of the most
competent and reliable politicians available.
The cleric emphasised on the importance of
transferring the key ministries and parastatals
into the right hands.
Kasali said the situation with the National
Assembly leadership was a step backwards
from ‘change’, reminded him of the ‘old order’.
Previously, President Buhari was defended by
his own political kinsmen. First of all, Malam
Garba Shehu, a presidential spokesperson,
commented on the issue of
#BabaGoSlow hashtag, said Buhari had to deal
with the ‘mess’ left by the previous
administration.
Secondly, John Odigie-Oyegun, the national
chairman of the ruling All Progressives
Congress, stated that Buhari was taking
deliberate steps to make Nigeria a better
country, dismissed all the ‘Baba go slow’ jokes
and insinuations.
Finally, the president reacted to ‘Baba go
slow’ personally, during his official visit to the
USA, said he intended to “go slow and
steady”. Source: www.naij.com/498970-stop-calling-buhari-baba-go-slow-cleric.html |

What is this Cleric yapping about? If Jonathan can endure all manners of derogatory names for 5+ years then Buhari should happily endure his numerous appellations. yeye dey smell.... |
