Mearicute: Postgraduate is/are any study(ies) undertaken after completion of a first degree. Postgraduate could be a post graduate diploma, a masters degree, a doctorate degree etc which is academic based or any other study such as CIPM, NIM, ICAN, HSE etc which are vocational. Masters degree is a type of post graduate degree which makes you more specialized in a more narrow specific field of study or profession. It is an academic type of post graduate study. In summary, a postgraduate study can be classified as either vocation based or academic based postgraduate study. 2 Likes |

How is undergraduate study different from postgraduate study? The first studies undertaken at university are generally referred to as undergraduate studies, designed to introduce students to the knowledge base within a specific discipline. A bachelor's degree is the name of an award given to students upon completion of their undergraduate studies. Postgraduate study refers to the range of courses available to students who have generally completed undergraduate studies. It requires a higher level of understanding, greater independence and more specialised knowledge than undergraduate study. Graduates with a postgraduate degree are considered to be more highly qualified as a result. credit:https://www.ask.uwa.edu.au |
