Mehn! This is beyond words. In my mind, I believe Stephen was going to get buyers in anambra for the body parts which he carefully packed in a suitcase n thought he had successfully hidden for retrieval. Being an igbo man who killed his friend and gf's brother cus of 750k (as the original story stated), he could as well intended to sell the rest of the body to get back his money if not more! How could he say he killed Daniel just cus he (daniel) raised his voice against him? The police must have delayed in forcing Daniel to pay Steven the amount owed by Daniel for over 2yrs and Stephen decided to take his pound of flesh together with blood! Do you think the police shares in the blame? I don't think so cus oweing is not a criminal offence but the police won't say this as it happens. They may in some part have caused the frustration in Stephen to resort to this. Pls if anyone owes you money, the place to complain is the law courts as it's a civil offence, n not the police station. It may not have ended this way since the courts would've ensured Stephen got his money, no matter how long it takes. Just my thoughts oooh! Really sad!

you don't seem to get my point. Of course the penalty is death, however, a sentence cannot be passed without trial. Even God who knows all our sins still told us of the day of judgement, when we shall give account of our deeds. If we are governed by sentiments and do not hear the other side, the innocent will also be killed, afterall people set people up. Besides, try to understand what professional duty means, a doctor has a duty to treat a person, criminal or not, even a person on death row is still seen by a doctor if the need arises. So a lawyer ought to defend until the court passes the sentence, there is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
