In a big village called Popona, there was a great king called king Zola. King Zola was a rich and famous king loved by all and sundry because of his numerous good characters. One of his prominent characters that endeared him to people was that he does not discriminate people based on their social status. In fact, the humble king preferred to be around the ordinary men in the village instead of staying around the chiefs and rich men of the village who could go on boasting about their wives, farms, slaves, and so on, for a thousand years. Many of the inhabitants of Popona even made it a habit of visiting the king in his palace and the king always entertain them with foods and drinks; and in many cases, gifts.
Before king Zola attained the throne, his predecessors who had ruled before him never stayed on the throne for more than eight years before they die. Meanwhile, king Zola is about to celebrate his sixteenth year on the throne. Little does the king know that his good characters as well as his humility contribute immensely to the factors that made him alive and remained with the crown for such a number of years when his predecessors only stayed for a maximum of eight years only.
King Zola is a happy person when people are around him. But when he is alone, he is a sad and worried person. The prominent reason for this is that, his only wife Queen Kiki could not give him a son that will become his heir after he has gone to the place his forefathers had gone. Queen Kiki had only a daughter for the king. The name of the child is Princess Habana. After the royal family waited for a long time and no other child seem to be coming, they accepted their fate and gave all attention to their only child- Princes Habana.
Princess Habana, being a child of the king, was pampered so much. She has lots of maids at her disposal. But despite being pampered, she wasn’t spoilt, but turned out to be a wise humble girl. Many of the villagers do say she took after her father’s good characters. Princess Habana grew into a very beautiful elegant lady when she begin approaching the stage of womanhood. Anywhere she passes, people around will usually get so carried away by her beauty. They loved and cherished their princess.
