Painting gone bad

I dnt know where nor when this bizare act started. We never did this during our time. On the day we wrote our last exam in school we organized a praise and worship session to thank God for seeing us through. If u passed through the Ogun State University between d late 1990s and early 2000s, where cultism was at its peak, Aluta and sch closure, ASUU strike every year, u have every cause to give thanks to God.

My first encounter with this bizare water or paint bathing act was when i was running a masters programme in one of the Unis in d SS.
I saw pple chasing themselves up and ddown. At first I thought it was gang/cultists attack. I quickly took cover and went to observe from a safe position only to see these children carrying dirty water in plates, pots and bucket and emptying it on one girl & a boy.
i later asked one of my fellow msc students and was told they jst graduated. I was so pissed off.

So now dey have graduated from water to paints. Lord have mercy.

They playing with their lives and the school fees of their parents... hv seen cases where acids is mistakenly poured and people felling into suck away

The day i graduated, a drop of pure water didn't splash on me... till this day, my friends are still asking me whether if I vanished

Congratulations guys, you just made your parents so proud now the easy part has been concluded now its the hard and harder part next

Pray they never post you to boko haram affected states thats the hard part


Pray that the labour market will favour your guys that's the harder part.

The last time I checked, a bucket of emulsion paint costs about N2000 or more. That's enough to buy some bottles of drinks (even if it is coke) for celebration. It is a more civilized way for a 'graduate' to celebrate instead of this crude display.
