From the same neighbourhood we grew Even in the same school we passed through I was fortunate to have a friend like you A tall, handsome and cool dude He was the enemy of my enemy The solution when I needed a remedy We watched the same comedy With the likes of Murphy Eddy In exam halls, we seat side by side Just to spy each other's sheet Though I didn't see that as a cheat Because we were friends from the same street We ate in the same room And swept with the same broom Almost get married to the same bride Thank God they live in different drive Now as adulthood beckon There is dire need to depart ways My wife is my new friend to reckon Oh, I missed our friendship days |
