Governor Wike inspected the extent of work done on the road Friday and assured," Now it's our own turn to reciprocate the gesture shown by you for voting for us...In one year time you must drive to Opobo...I'am quite confident that you will drive to Opobo by this time next year"... Recall that the road was unveiled in 2005 by Dr Peter Odili to connect the riverine communities in Andoni, Opobo and Nkoro and was reviewed by Amaechi administration and covers 38 kilometres with about 10 bridges. Wike berated past administration for not completing what he called "a key road project" adding, "We thought that with the resources we had that the last administration ought to have completed this project, but unfortunately it was abandoned." Imortal001: The case you mentioned and the present one are in no way related... Amaechi had a better case than Omehia thus the ruling in his favour... The best Dakuku can get is a call for a rerun and in that case, as far as Rivers state is concerned, Wike will win 20 times over.. 1 Like |
