The IMF and the World bank are the two main culprits responsible for condemning over 80% of the Nigerian population to a life of misery and poverty, I would advise all NLs to read the above links which explain in plain English how these bloodsucking agents of white supremacy are intent on destroying your lives and the lives of your unborn children and grandchildren.

IMF, World Bank and WTO are tools for economic imperialism. Read Ha Joon Chang a Cambridge economist to learn more.

In summary, the IMF provides lending to countries suffering from balance of payment crisis like Nigeria did in the 80s when oil prices collapsed. In return for the lending, the IMF requires that the borrowing country adheres to its conditionalities which often include:

1) Structural reform, i.e., deregulation and privatisation
2) Fiscal reform,i.e., reducing budget deficits by cutting spending

The World Bank on the other hand lends money to developing countries at low interest rates to support development projects such as infrastructural investment, expansion of access to healthcare and education.

When you put it this way, their job sounds nice, magnanimous and all that
However....they cripple poor countries, form the reason while education and health do not improve
They have stretched many African and other poor countries soooo tight our future is bleak

They need it this way.....cos with improvement, people will stop migrating to rich, AND COLD AND UNFRIENDLY countries for economic reasons...they need our professionals to service their aging population

You think colonialism and the slave trade are over?
Think again
Sham, scam artists....the World Bank and the IMF
angry
This is evidence based oooo.....it is a real pity, what those things represent

@musicwriter, God bless u!this draconian imperialist been robbing africa for ages. and so mofo on nairaland glorifying them.

It should not go to the front page
If any " foreign body" read it,....imagine how they would laugh at us
.......
We really need a culture of knowing....of educating ourselves beyond keeping up with celebrities and even Biafra, lol
I have a fat, sinking feeling our political leaders do not know this....
....and they, blissfully ignorant, lead our Africa to the gutters....pity cry
If they knew, they would not "eat" money the way they do, true story

At least in Nigerai we have a reserve.....what could be salvaged from corruption....it would help us a bit....and if we keep it up, we can escape their claws...we need a saviour (s), in Nigeria, in other African countries....big time
Mugabe and Ghaddafi....knew this .....and rebelled....
See, we were even made to curse them!

I wish I knew how to write well!
