Every new president inherits problems, solve some and create some for the incoming administration. However, this is not the issue. The issue is how Jonathan handled the boko haram menace. He spent billions on the same issue only for his CDS to come out plainly saying the military could not prosecute the menace. Due to inadequate weapons. Let us be straightforward. If your territory was ravaged by a rag tag militants even after spending trillions of Naira on a military who is saddled with the responsibility to solve the issue and the military now looks under-equiped, how will you react?
