CRISTIANO RONALDO has surprised his agent Jorge Mendes by buying him an entire island as a wedding gift, reports the Mirror. The Real Madrid ace splashed out on the lavish gift ahead of Mendes' wedding which will take place in Portugal. The picturesque island has set Ronaldo back a cool £35.5million - a bargain price apparently, given Greece's current economic troubles. Portuguese publication Move Noticas report that Ronaldo saw the island was on sale and thought it would make the perfect wedding gift. Ronaldo was Jorge Mendes' best man where he performed the duties in front of a congregation of 300 invited guests.
