Ethnic Dominance And Ruine In Kogi State: A Case For Power Shift by OJtOp2(m): 10:37pm On Aug 03, 2015
COALITION OF KOGI WEST AND CENTRAL PROGRESSIVES
OUR CASE:
WHY 2015 POWER SHIFT (some quarters say “POWER CHANGE”) PROJECT IMMINENT AFTER 24 (TWENTY FOUR) YEARS OF ETHNIC DOMINANCE AND RUINE?
The power shift project is a collective majority right of well-meaning people of Kogi State who are presently under a repressive political and economic hostage. Consequently, the people of Kogi State from the Central and Western Senatorial Zones are set to let themselves loosed from the claws of the political monsters.
The brief historical profile of Kogi State came by way of Kabba Province in Northern Region with major tribes which includes Igbira, Okun,Igala, Bassa, Oworo and Nupe. The political profile came by way of Kabba province with three major divisions i.e. Igbira, Kabba and Igala Division. However, Igbira and Kabba was part of Kwara State while Igala in Benue until Kogi State was created in 1991 at the instance of Kabba (Western Senatorial District) and Igbira (Central Senatorial District with the consideration and co-option of Igala (Eastern Senatorial District) from Benue State. The State had 16 LGA’s and later 21 LGA’s i.e. Kogi East – 9LGAs, Kogi West 7 LGAs and Kogi Central-5 LGAs.
During the formation of the government the State, the breakdown of political units and the magnanimity of the Central and Western Senatorial zones decided to zone the governorship position to their perceived brothers from Kogi East (Igalas) for intending general progress with the arrangement to rotate the power among the three Senatorial Districts. But the Eastern senatorial District has failed to appreciate the peaceful accord; they have since the creation of the State from 1991 held and used the political power of the State to marginalize, oppress and with all efforts to reduce the other tribes to the point of irrelevance which the people has now resolved to pull themselves out of being extinct, politically, economically and generational succession come 2015. It is worthy to note that other ethnic groups in Kogi State include Ebira Mozum, Ebira, Igu, Ogori-Magongo, Oworo, etc.
The datas presented below generates volumes of questions which begs for an answer and solutions.

Yorubas in kogi and kwara are totally subjugated. Funny part is that they spend more energy on igbos in south south who are rulers in their zone
Buhari destroyed Tinubu's attempt to sneak in a yoruba governor in kogi through the back door
