You clearly had no answer to the facts the poster you replied stated so stop grasping at straws. grin

Yet, the same IBB moved the capital to Abuja even when Abuja wasn't ready just to consolidate his grip on power. What was he scared of?

Do slaves at any time rule their masters?

Yes, we want to leave the zoo because we cant play second those we are better than, unlike yorubas who are born slaves. ...
Igbos are not slaves, we lost out....but you are willing slave...cowards who enjoy playing a second to a cow rearers

You cowards called igbos greedies, but i want to let you know it take boldness to be greedy...it takes bravery to challenge authority, it is only the true progressive that has agenda. ...north has agenda , East has agenda, but the slaves never have agenda....yoruba, you are a slave

Oh you mean the tribe that prefers to be slaves and parasites, rather than seek the realization of their own nation? There is ready made proof of your slavish nature though in case you pretend not to know. Kwara state comes to mind. grin

Tinubu is senseless if he thinks after Buhari power will go to the West

[s]The SS/SE will rather support the North ruling forever than support a Yoruba ascending to the post of presidency

Mark my words

Tinubu's end will be quite disastrous compare to Afonja Awo Mko and Diya[/s]

Just like it was in 1999, SS/SE support wouldnt matter or count when it's time for us to have the presidency.

Didnt Abiola defeat Tofa even in his ward in Kano?

I ask, do slaves at point in time get to rule their masters?
Yorubas have ruled Fulanis and will do so again and again. How then can Yorubas be slaves?
It's the ibos that are slaves because they are politically inconsequential in the Nigerian state.

While you are romancing with gambari slavery

* Kwara is in the hands of the Fulani
* Lagos is being overtaken by Igbos.

Stay on topic please. Nobody is talking about politics here, we're talking about how Fulani Alimi used Yoruba Afonja to conquer his own people, how Gowon used Pa Awolowo to cling to power against southern interest, how Abiola used his Concord newspaper to fight his own brother Awolowo, same Abiola financed the coup that sacked his brother Ernest Shonekan and brought General Abacha to power. He even went to Dodan Barracks to congratulate Abacha for overthrowing his brother. SMH!! It didn't stop there, General Abacha also used Oladipo Diya to batter NADECO, Afenifere, Odua Movement and other Yoruba struggle groups such that all Yoruba leaders went on exile.

Just when we thought Yorubas have learnt enough from history, Tinubu came back from his Hausa-Fulani sanctioned exile but has once again partnered with the same Hausa-Fulani to defeat Southern interest and brought a Hausa-Fulani man to power. When will Yorubas learn to be honorable and stand up for what they believe in?

Awolowo died in the bathroom. How is that shameful?

Abiola was murdered by probably the US. How is that shameful?

Both of them have left legacies behind that surpasses whatever Zik or Ojukwu can ever leave behind in a thousand lifetimes.

Just shut up!

Of course, your hausa masters will always try to soothe their yoruba slaves sometimes to make you remain obedient and subservient. so it's understandable that they've allowed you people to rule nigeria for just a fraction of the time. grin. it's not an achievement k. The hausas still determine when and how you rule.

VirginFinder:

He sought the assistance of the Fulani and got it.
He had his kingdom and everything was okay until Alimi died and the alliance turned sour. While Alimi was alive, the going was good. With no Oyo empire to fall back to, he was at the mercy of the Fulani who promptly murdered him.

Now how does that affect the larger Yoruba ethnic group?

I repeat, the slave the one who cannot rule this country.

You are a forgetful dullard!
Yorubas fought hard for the presidency between 1993 and 1999. We were not given anything. It was the only way Nigeria could have peace.
The aboookis didn't have a choice.

When will ibos be found 'worthy slaves' enough to rule this nation even if it's for a split-second?

Nonsense!

Tinubu is a hero who saved Nigeria from Jonathan's gross incompetence.

Another four years of GEJ and Nigeria will be history.

Come to think of it, are you ibos all blind, deaf and dumb that you can't notice the very visible positive changes going on in the country? Can't we all see that everybody everywhere is beginning to shape up and sit up?

You are all pained dullards, honestly.

You would have been better off finding virgin as your silly handle name seemed to suggest than commenting on a subject you absolutely know nothing.

murtala muhammed initiated the plan to move the capital of nigeria from lagos to abuja in 1976,construction of abuja as the new capital of nigeria started in 1980 under shagari's regime.
The yoruba coups were not executed because the plotters ain't smart like their igbo and hausa/fulani counterparts.
