Just so you know now. Electrical/Electronics engineering is the toughest of the engineering disciplines. It demands focus. You have to put in undivided attention.

Make friends in your class. Better yet, create a facebook group, where you can discuss, go through assignments, and share past questions.

Go to class. Take notes. Follow examples. Work on all problem sets and examples. Get your prof's office hours and location and drop in if you need clarification.

Study ahead of time. This way you will be able to cover all chapters/notes before final exam. Submit your assignments.

You should be fine but be prepared for hard work.

@ op one interesting thing about our course is dat it is all around you, from household lighting to industrial wiring, from electrical machines to ur computer sets and gadgets.

so be sure to have interest in knowing the basic principles of how things work, so dat u dont get to be a cram and pass engr but someone dat is grounded in wat he or she does.

know ur lectures very well, dat is understand dia patterns...so u get to work smart and not 'too' hard and den get little in return, remeber dat wisdom is profitable to direct

finally, learn to be someone that thinks, especially tinking out of the box, because u wud have to interact mostly with people u know r better so u can only get better(but please never down on dose ur better dan)

always remember 2 strife 4 excellence in ur field...it will take u places, wish u d best.
