There should be a road worthy certificate issued to these trailers and heavy duty vehicles every 3months. After the breaks and every vital part is examined .

Any truck without a valid permit will be empounded and the driver jailed for 6months.

badly educated drivers cause many of the road accidents in Nigeria.
President Buhari should address the failures of the FRSC.
I am still wondering how drivers who cannot read and write got their drivers licenses.

To me, this is suicide.

Careless drivers are to blame.
No matter how bad a road is, a good driver will know how to use it safely and not driving like a demon rushing to hell.

When did this horrible incident occur? Good God, please be happy with us in this country. Forgive our inequities and let peace and happiness reign in our dear country, Nigeria.

I ply this route twice a week... Chai! this is disheartening

Why should the FRSC allow alcohol to be sold at the motor parks?
I see those selling alcohol to drivers as witches and wizards.

Why posting pictures of dead people like dis?

What if their loved ones see it thru the Internet?

Censor some parts..
That was why the op iterated "graphical nature of the post" meaning is at your discretion...besides, its better you find out here than never to find out ever....and keep living with the hope of seeing them again..... may their soul RIP

Truck drivers in Nigeria need to have psychiatric hospitals clearance before driver's licence.

The world is evolving and we need to be civilised. The last time I came home, I was cruising with my sis kids and we were held up in a huge traffic. The way those 1diots honk their trucks as if the honk would clear the road for them was just terrible that my little niece began to cry.

Rip to the dead.
they are not !diots. If u ave close relatives driving trucks u will not term him an !diot.

Passengers on these public or private transport buses should also be road safety conscious, by avoiding drivers who drink and smoke. When you see that the driver is careless and over speeding, two or more passengers should politely beg the driver to stop for you to urinate or that you are pressed to go to toilet otherwise you will mess up the bus. This will force the driver to stop and then use the opportunity to caution him and save your precious lives.

saw one ds morning along okene-lokoja road.d driver didn't survive it.I hardly sleep while traveling even if its an 8hr journey. And i will prefer to go by train if it is available.our drivers r something else in ds country.most r always in haste to get to wr they r going.some take hard drugs and alcohol before embarking on journeys.u see some drivers over taking with speed on a Sharp bend and a non-dualized road.
