My dear. There are many Igbos that see it as total, arrant, stark raving madness to want to bring back a cause that brought misery and pain to them in the past! The level-headed ones of course. The ones who understand that there are certain things you do and put in place before asking for a country. The ones who are more interested in building empires than hating and distancing from people just because of one Ijaw man that doesn't even know they exist! And please don't deny it's because of him because this biafra noise would not have been anything near half this loud if GEJ won.
Rubbish!
Oh pls,spare me the gebbrish......
What exactly is wrong in asking for a country if due process are followed?
If you think this agitation is ending anything soon, better think again....

Let me tell u something. Igbos are independent and hardworking, they are also likeable people . Igbos have always been the hub connecting other tribes. Thats why they r always casualties when trying to seperate a fight.

What your so called director is trying to do is poison the minds of igbos. To give igbos the victim mentality. Making them believe there problem are people of other tribes .

Feeling their heart with hatred, diverting their focus to irrelevant things . And this hatred will reduce our creativity, slow us down, sideline us in the political activities and contribution to the development of this nation.

We cant climb to the top with hatred and bitterness it will weigh us down. Nnamdi kanu and his radio biafra is poison to igbos. To weaken us and reduce our creative ability.

The new set of igbos that nnamdi kanu will create will be bitter people, frustrated, hopeless , loosers, useless with no vision and creativity.

That right there is the koko.
Most of us against biafra are not really angry because of the biafra itself. We are just angry because of the way you guys are going about it. You don't ask for a country just because your candidate lost elections. Hell no! You need to have more concrete reasons for heaven's sake! That's the first step. The 2nd step is debating intelligently among yourselves whether the majority of you want it or not. Then ask SS or even NC people who may want to join you guys to come forward. If you are lucky enough to get majority votes from a tribe, then you can as well have their land. The next step is diplomatically asking for a referendum. Push for it non-violently until you get it.

The next step is breaking away and being recognized as a country you can be comfortable with!

But what you guys are doing is what led to the first biafra war, inciting violence and forcing SS to join you. Hell no! Sorry, it's a mission impossible this time around because most of us have wised up. We won't just allow you force us into any unholy gaddem war no more. Our kids will no longer be forced to fight nothing. Start getting used to that NOW.

Listen,to start with didn't buhari make inciting statements during his campaign?

Didn't the Oba of Lagos make inciting statements to igbos in Lagos during the last presidential campaign?

Even the Zulu king of SA took his turn, which this time, led to loss of lives..

Not like they are right, but where were you then

Secondly,I don't think you know anything about the Nigerian constitution, because if you did,you would have known there is no provision for referendum in it

Lastly, you know nothing about the steps, procedures, strategies, the things in place for the actualisation of Biafra as that is not your business, and you are not mandated to know.

Finally, you can shove your opinion up your as.s,,,,,,before telling me anything, let me hear you response about the inciting statements buhari and the Oba made, then tell me what makes them different, then, and only then will I begin to take you serious.

No position for referendom in the constitution? Then what your SE reps and senators there for Why aren't they pushing for it.
You don't want my opinion on whether or not my state can join biafra? Then that means you want to force us and like I said, it's a failed mission this time around.

Don't bother quoting me anymore. I've learnt to stop trying to make sense to anyone who's determined to remain stupid. Best of luck!

The Igbos seem to act antisocial and anti progress to a very annoying level since Jonathan started his divisive politics because of 2015. The Igbos have been acting and writing insanely all over Nigeria. Even Otueke people want Nigeria to be peaceful and developed but Igbos are loudly craving for war.

I want Nigerians to know that we in Southern part of Imo State (particularly Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta) are not part of this madness. We are the oil producing area in Imo State and we want peace and progress of Niger Delta and Nigeria.

You keep ranting about Jonathan, while jonathan is in far away kenya ballin. . You and Rochas and Ngige and Onu voted for Buhari. What has buhari done for the igbos since then vis a vis what jonathan did at this stage of his presidency? Is politics not about interest aggregation again? Apart from worn out rhethorics about fighting corruption, what are the benefits of buharis presidency to the igbos? Igbo traders are at a limbo at the moment because of buharis policies on forex, igbo ggraduates are going to face hardtimes geting jobs in all these ministries being headed by buharis clannish appointees, igbo technocrats are getting fired right, left and center. Billions are being borrowed for the north east and some ACN states, while igbo states get boko haram prisoners. . So what is there for the igbo? Or did you vote for buhari because he is tall, handsome and gap toothed?

You don't even know how pugnaciously noisy you can be some times. Who made you a spokesman of Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta people? I mean you are not the only person from that area here? Where do you start to make categorical statements when you are nothing but an unknown individual there? Next is you start fighting chino on behalf of imo state. . , how many people in imo state have the time to be picking wuarrels with Anambra people? Have you heard of Akokwa people ever fighting with Uga or umuchu folks? Or Awo idemmili killing Iseke people? But you are always at Chinos neck on my behalf as an imo man, . Disgusting stuff.Your problem is that you picked your socialisation from ikwerreland, so most times you exude the same sort of clannish thinking witnessed in such areas as Ngwa, ikwerre etc.

The truth that all the fight competition and comparisons will do us no good. How does it improve the standard of living for those in the east?

How does it make our governors accountable for the resources we entrusted in their hands?

While your busy fighting other tribes online, your governors are stealing public funds.

So stop wasting your energy comparing and competing online.
You might have your bigoted side but there's wisdom in this post of yours.

as an igbo guy I admire your good intention of trying to create sanity among your people, but I will authoritatively say this is more an insult than an advice, when you used the phrase 'BIAFRA MADNESS' you already killed the very purpose of your thread. remember the saying 'when you know the possible reason why you refute my god is same reason I refute yours'. you don't refer to a peoples wish to self determination as madness. Secondly, I have been on nairaland since 2009 until I decided to register in 2011, I have watched how igbos and yorubas insult themselves in almost all the thread even in some threads that doesn't have any affiliate to any tribe. this your thread would have made sense to me if you had not just mention only the igbos but both parties who are the main actors of this tribal fight in your quest for sanity in the internet. If igbos and yorubas can only put aside their differences you would be amazed how Nigeria would grow so fast. without being myopic, igbos and yorubas are the major foundation that can drive Nigeria to her destination, but i fear for Nigeria if this hate is been transferred to the nest generation.

this is a very objective comment one of the best I have seen on this forum.

I don't really think the igbos and Yorubas hate each other is more of an hostile rivalry but this stupidity been displayed b both tribes is hurting the nation because these are the two major tribes that can move the nation forward. The Igbos may not want to admit this but they need the Yorubas in their side fight for self-actualization. I truly wish the Igbo elders can reach out to the Yorubas to form an alliance, trust me the Yorubas are waiting for this but the igbos must make the first move.
