Ekiti Senator’s Thugs Attack AC Supporters



Some suspected thugs of an Ekiti Senator, this morning, unleashed terror on supporters of the Action Congress in Oye, Ekiti. The attack occurred after a large number of the PDP members decamped to the AC yesterday, after Dr. Kayode Fayemi rounded off his campaign at Oye.


After the rally, a senator, allegedly not happy with the development, sent his thugs to molest, maim and wound many of the AC members. Some of the victims include Chief Michael Taiwo, the Ogbolu of Idofin, who was beaten and allegedly abducted by Olaniya Arise, Taiwo Arise and Olomofe. Taiwo and some other victims were allegedly tortured in the senator’s torture chamber right there in his house.

The state Commissioner of Police immediately promised to send mobile policemen to the area to ensure peace and order. But as at the time of filing this report, no policeman had arrived. Reports have it that the senator was still in his house with most of his thugs who are in fake police uniforms and carrying arms and ammunition.
