When did refereeing suddenly become a profession for brains? undecided

Guess u didn't read that even the home team that lost their 12 year old unbeaten run, applauded her for her brilliant performance. That takes brain!

Hey.....There is a big mix up somewhere
I Know this Lady (Uloma Nwogu),
SHE IS NOT A REFEREE!
SHE IS NOT FROM EBONYI!!
SHE IS NOT A POLICE OFFICER!!!
I have known her and her husband for over 15 years now, we all went to University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC)
I was surprised to read this story, so i promptly contacted the husband via FB. He stated that they are equally shocked by this story. He said, they have been trying to reach Seun to retract this message to no avail. So please Seun if you are reading this, take this story down.
If you get in touch i will connect you with the husband to confirm the fact that you have the wrong name and pic on this story.
PLEASE TAKE THIS STORY DOWN!!!!

Ermm I believe some fields actually need brain to excel... Engineering, Law and some specialist fields. I'm not sure refereeing is for the erudite.

And if you're making reference to her brilliant performance, even a dancer can have a brilliant performance on stage, intelligence? NO
Talent/flair? YES

Hey "Uduokirika1"
I appreciate your response. I followed the link in your last post....the twitter handle has the very same pic and name that you posted.
I am guessing here that you just re-posted the information. I live abroad and i have not really been following football in Nigeria. So you could imagine my surprise and excitement when i saw Uloma's pic.....as a referee.
I have known this lady and her husband for a very long time, so i just decided to check it out with the husband (via FB), only to find out that they are as surprised as i was.
There may be an "Uloma Nwogu" who is a referee but the face published is the face of an "Uloma Nwogu" that is a lecturer, NOT A REFEREE!
Just check the thread by "debuscket" above....adding credence to the fact that the face that was published is of someone that lectured in UNEC....whom no one knows to be a referee and in fact is not a referee.
Please, there are moderators on this site: can someone kindly bring this to their attention. I have scouted the internet and i could not find a way to reach Seun. Let those who can reach him or any of the moderators do so.
Things like this could innocently happen, but there has to be a way to reach the owners of this site to make corrections. These owners, i believe have access to our emails. They can reach me and i will put them through to this family.

You need intelligence to excel in any field. Some might require higher level of commitment and perseverance. All the same, I get your flow! Lol.

This comment is very unintelligent..

How many professions need less than 3 seconds to take decision on the go? do you think all the referee does is to blow his whistle anytime and anyhow? what do you even know about refereeing?.

If intelligence is less needed in being an umpire, then judges in law court also need not be intelligent.

Referees on the field of play are like judges in the law court. both apply intelligence and the law to arrive at each decisions they take and the former is damn faster in taking decisions than the latter.

It doesn't take an intelligent person to know everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
That being said, in essence you're making a comparison between being a judge and being a referee:that's like comparing a commercial diver to an Olympic swimmer.
In every job task, decisions have to be made. Talk about speed, I believe decisions made during driving, for example could be life threatening, but does it always take an intelligent person to drive? NO

Sports will be sports... and those with talent/flair needed for such endeavours will succeed.
