Where present. I wasn't typing on unmixed hennessey. The people from otuoke that are still fetching water from a soakaway after their son has been Deputy Gov, Governor, Vice President, and President won't find your comment funny.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/08/water-scarcity-hits-jonathans-otuoke/

Is Otuoke the only community that didn't receive good amenities?
In other words, nothing good has ever happened to Otuoke?
If he paid so much attention to Otuoke, you lot would be the first to complain.
Jona was a true example of what federalism should be all about.

What visible developments has occurred in Buhari's hometown of Daura, during and after his tenure in government?
What act of philanthropy can be attributed to him?

please, enough of this shyt.. Everybody is looking for favour or support and it then seems like the only time anyone can gain that support is when they acclaim that corruption personified Buhari is a saint.

Lemme help you analyse statements from Wikipedia:

@bolded,

If the money didnt disappear, why was there lapses in the account after investigation?
Is it safe to say that Fela was right about the committee being a sham one from a northern man doing favour to another northerner (Shagari to Buhari)?
Is that why Buhari paid back this favour to Shagari when he toppled his government, rather than lock him up, he placed Shagari at the comfort of his home while every other person other than Emir Gwando was locked up?

From the same Wikipedia:

@bolded, little wonder Abacha was never corrupt nor stole any money, according to Buhari.

I hope you know that Wiki can be written and updated by just anyone.
So, NEVER BRING WIKIPEDIA HERE AS A PROOF of ANYTHING.

The fact remains that PDP said it openly that Buhari is clean. Not that it would change the fact if they said otherwise though.

No swerree, don't disgrace Saint Buhari more by speaking like a naivete.
Jona is supposed to be everywhere at a time, right?
The fact remains that he did what he could to salvage the corruption situation.
The footprints are there for all to see.
We await change according to Buhari's body language to do things differently.

That's rich coming from you.

What right do you have to tell an Oronian what his/her nation should be called?

Oron (an anglicized version of Oro just as Japan is an anglicized version of Nippon) is a picturesque and semi hilly coastal city-state nation which has existed for over 2000yrs,and is currently part of the colonial disaster known as Nigeria. Oron territory is twice larger than Singapore and 18 other nations in the world.(Oron wooden and bronze artifacts, folklore and relics are believed to be some of the oldest surviving and most beautiful artifacts in sub saharan Africa - Some ,especially the best looking ones can be found generating revenue at Philadelphia museum,Boston museum and London museum . Citizens or people from Oron are Oronians and their language is simply Oro or Oronian, just as Japanese or Singaporean are both acronyms and languages .The Oronian population is estimated at 1.1 million. Oron is bordered by Cameroon ,Atlantic ocean and their linguistic neighbors (Efiks,Ibibio , Eket, Annang).Oron's closest ally since ancient times, has always been the Efiks.Oron nation is one of the wealthiest nations in the world if it were autonomous. Apart from crude oil,Oron territory is blessed with 75 % of all the numerous resources found in the Cross river /akwa ibom region- Natural gas,Rubber,Iron, Glass Silica,Limestone,Lead,Seafood,Timber. Oronians themselves are blessed with goodlooks, strength and intelligence. Oron's color has always been "Red" due to their brave and Aggressive demeanor.
Oron along with other city-state nations and a few bi or thri city-state nations were merged against their will by the British imperialist (Ref. scramble for Africa)to form a third world shithole experiment which continues and by all indications will continue to be a failed state until justice prevails.Oron's territory in the current scheme of colonial mergers are the districts or local government areas :Oron including it's islands such as Parrot island and a few nameless uninhabited islands,Okobo,Mbo including Tom Shot Island,Bakassi,Urue Offong/Oruko and Udung Uko ( Ibeno is part of the larger Oron family and will be accepted,if willing ). Oron territory has a potential for future expansion by ocean and river land reclamation.
The Akwa Ibom airport is located in Oron (Okobo) and will be refurbished and renamed Oron international airport, once Oron leaves Akwa Ibom. Oron seaport will be built at James town AKA Ibaka . An Observation Tower similar to Seattle space needle or CN tower will be built close to the seaport area (likely to be the tallest structure in Africa). The entire Oron will be built in grid system . You can not live, work or school in Oron without an id in the database or work permit. Below are a few private and joint ventures which are currently in the planing stage for Oron and will materialize within the next 2 to 6 years .
1. Oron times (Online news and printed newspaper) this is easy and will be up by end of 2015.

6.Upscale golf Housing development on Parrot island
7.Glass and ceramics manufacturing company
8. Clothing /umbrella/rain jackets and rubber products manufacturing company.

Even if Wikipedia may fault on that matter, Fela can never be wrong. I would have debunked the Wikipedia article about the $2.8billion if Fela never sang about it. Now how do you see this? Would Fela have risked his life to sing about something that never happened, knowing fully well how truthful and daring he is? If you fairly answer this question, then you'd see the need to believe that something must have gone wrong with the NNPC account back then.

Mizmycoli no mind them. The same people who lambasted Jonathan for being tribalistic and divisive (saying he marginalized the north, ofcuz I know north loves to hold all positions so even if half of GEJ's appointment went to them, they wouldn't still be satisfied), are now telling us about how bad Otuoke looks.

Am still not happy with GEJ for not liberating his people from slumber tho. If he ad achieved that and was kicked out, he'd have been more fulfilled rather than being fare and was still kicked out. Nigerians don't love progress. They are so biased that even if their own feeds them horse faeces, while another feeds them fruits, they'd still choose their person over the one who feeds them fruits.

What 53 suitcase? For you to bring this up means you're even more naïve and gullible than I thought.

Let me help your ignorance:
1. At the time, the decree was against people taking money out of Nigeria (hence the currency was changed too).

2. If we agree for a minute that there were 53 suitcases of cash, the acceptance that they were being brought in did not even violate the decree then. So what loot? Loot from UK or US or where?

3. How possible is it that the so-called 53 suitcases of dollars were screened and allowed to pass through the security systems of the originating airport? Which country in the world will allow such money to leave its country in that form?

Common sense is a virtue indeed!

I know insults would trail your replies. Its quite typical. However, you failed to prove to me how Fela would have been wrong for singing about Buhari's loot. Maybe it was the reason you resorted to insult.

By the way, I do know that Buhari's Military govt was rocked with that scandal. Well, he's a Nigerian after all:

The Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, under whose regime as Head of State the suitcases were stowed away from Customs check, told newsmen at a campaign stop in Dutse, Jigawa State, that erstwhile Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, was in the best position to explain the issue.
While Atiku in a riposte acquitted himself and blamed “rude and crude” soldiers from Buhari’s headquarters for the slip, the Buhari/Bakare campaign in another statement queried the intentions of the PDP in raising the issue when it alleged that the PDP government was itself rocked with scandals.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/03/53-suitcases-saga-buhari-blasts-atiku-jonathan/

From the CPC campaign, it acknowledged there was a scandal of 53 suitcases by countering the PDP by alleging that PDP itself was rocked with scandals. I love this!!! cheesy

abio make u ask them oo..no almajiri school built in his name... I have never seen him use his popularity to canvass for any
charitable work nor any humanitarian effort, not even at the height of the polio scourge where other purposeful and prominent leaders lead the campaign for immunization .... cool cool
MizMyColi:

Have you heard that Katsina state as a whole had no university until GEJ came to build one for them?
Is it the whole of Otuoke that is suffering from water shortage or just a clan? Unlike the northerners who have general shortage of water.
Have you evr heard that Buhari ever so much as dug a hole, how much more a borehole?
Does Bayelsa state have a university or not?
cool

What has Buhari contributed to his hometown?
How has he helped his people get better in terms of mental emancipation?
Does any of his kids school in the country?

Apart from the anti-corruption stance, which is highly debatable...
What other policies did he install?
Is it still news to you that Buhari was deemed a failed administrator in the 1980s?

Cheap. Very cheap from you.
Jona FAILED woefully and even failed to help his immediate constituency out of comatose.

Do you sincerely think you can explain away, the failure of a man who was deputy governor, governor, VP and president but failed to provide potable water and other basic amenities for his immediate constituency after being in governance for 16 years?

If there are things lacking in Daura as we speak, we will expect PMB to address such through the govt agencies in charge. There shouldn't be any excuse not to. And you know Buhari was not a philanthropist out of power.

What are Buhari's legacies?
News has it that businesses suffered in his time.

If he didn't do philantropy, kindly show eveidence of what he did in his over 15 years out of the corridors of power.
zSurely, there must be a manifesto, something that attests to his sagacity as a leader.
I'm waiting.
