A 200 Level student from the department of
theatre and film studies, University of Port Harcourt after she slumped in her hostel. Students blame it on
the University of Port Harcourt Teaching
Hospital.

She slumped in her bathroom yesterday morning
and was rushed to the hospital at 5:30, but she wasn't admitted because a nurse said there was no bed space. Her name is Kelechi Ndulagwa and according to sources, she died due to lack of oxygen.

The Students of the University of Port Harcourt, have decided to stage a protest, blocking some roads and entrances to the school, but the protest is not yet a violent one because of the ongoing post utme exercise at the university.

Really sad. No bed space, I wonder what an emergency means if there is no bed space. It means the hospital is not fit-for-purpose.
Bed space must always be available for emergencies. Bed space is not for someone to just come and rest.
