The failure of Real Madrid to sign De Gea from Manchester United will forever be remembered. Even though Real Madrid always get their man, if not now maybe later, the likes of CR7, Zidane, Beckham, Figo, Kaka and many more others can testify to that.

It was a ridiculous situation, given they had months to complete the deal, but they and United only engaged in talks on the final day, with the move failing through because they failed to beat the deadline time.
Madrid lay the blame at Manchester United’s door, publishing a 10-point statement which insist they did everything necessary to ensure the transfer happened. United also released a press statement denying they did their own part of deal.

The result of the saga is that, United might lose De Gea to Madrid on a free transfer but Madrid will have to pay De Gea a fee. yes he will be on Madrid pay roll.

Now lets try to put that saga out of our mind and focus on the player that come’s in and gone out.

In

Danilo

He was signed from Porto, and really performed well in Portugal. The right back cost them around 31.5 million Euro.

Mateo Kovacic

The intermillan star was the biggest name Madrid brought in this summer. An attacking midfielder who can also play deeper positions, though he is not a player needed now.

Jesus Vallejo
He joined from Real Zaragoza, a centre-back but he’s been loaned back for this season.

Kiko Casilla
He also signed from Espanyol. The goalkeeper was brought to play in second place of Ge gea but now it looks like he will be battling Navas for the No. 1 jersey. He is a good prospect, though occasionally prone to making a silly error.

Others include Lucs Vasquez and Casemiro.

Outgoings

Illaramendi, Sami Khedira, Iker Casillas, Lucas Silva and Coentro have all left either permanently or on loan.

What do you think of Madrid transfer and can De Gea reclaim the number 1 spot?
