Just like that?

I think it is fundamentally wrong o bring an army man to head a customs unit when there are career custom officers to pick from. People who have been there and know the nooks and crannies of the unit.

Albeit we need to find out those who would have made the top job and if they are from ay other area than the north then this guy has started a long thing.

It is wrong Oga buhari. very wrong. Get a customs man forte job and give that guy SSA to customs if you must give him a job.

Nigeria voted for you not northern Nigeria.

He appointed that retired military dude becos the rightful person to take that position is a southerner...........hope you now see why wailing is the new swag? grin grin grin

Biafra, officially the Republic of Biafra, was a secessionist state in south eastern Nigeria that existed from 30 May 1967 to 15
January 1970
, taking its name from the
Bight of Biafra (the Atlantic bay to its
south).

Thank God this is democracy.
If Pres. Buhari's act is unconstitutional, then he should make a change.
But if Pres. Buhari's action has legal backing, the activist should go have some rest.
Enough of pandemonium from the top.

Your question and concern should be; 'Is there any LEGAL MERIT to the legal challenge', 'Was there any constitutional violation by PMB, particularly in the appointment of the Customs boss'. Support for PMB or whomever, should not preclude common sense and reason, except when one's mind is beclouded by infantile tribal sentiment and mediocre intellectual capacity.

Good move. Same way buari destroyed dss by appointing a retired fellow from his village is what he's trying to do to customs. The appointment of an outsider to head a professional body like customs is an act of impunity.
How can a soldier head an agency like customs? Its like appointing a banker as a hospital md. Buari is setting a dangerous precedence of low morale and unprofessionalism in the zoo.

But you saw no reason to complain when they can drag a Brigadier General to head NDLEA;

Or some dude in MOBIL to head NNPC @ the expense of career Civil Servants ..ba??!

Bruh...

An exercise in futility. Buhari was not a democrat who believes in the rule of law. Nigeria does not practise the rule of except when a pleb is involved. Interesting topic all the same

Northernization is not equal to Islamization, Northernization is not equal to Hausa-Fulani. Northernization is for anyone, Any tribes, Everyone who wants to cooperate with the strongest power in Africa, It is a balance between the West(Britain/America) and the Middle East powers(Saudi Arabia/Iran). You can't win against Northernization, Rather than fighting against it fight for your stake and benefit in it. Just like what the Western powers are doing in the Iranian deal, and what Black Americans did in America. There are tired of fighting against it, they rather seek to benefit from it.

Obviously the dullard at the top has no regards for the constitution.

He can barely spell constitution not to talk of knowing what it's about.

And he says he isn't a dictator.....SMH.

I wonder if this is the democracy Nigerians signed up for.

Nigerians should expect anything from Buhari. Even as president, Buhari is a very bitter man, with deep seated urge for revenge. He needs our prayers for delivery and deliverance.

The ex-custom boss who hails from the same state is a very intelligent man. That was why he denied Buhari the gratification of sacking him. And believe you me, Buhari is more vexed that someone he is planning to humiliate and sack denied him that "glory".
On the contrary, you are the one who is irredeemably bitter over the loss of your candidate in the long forgotten 2015 election. Buhari is a very very happy man for fulfilling his lifetime wish of ruling Nigeria once again as a civilian. Reasonable people across the length and breadth of Nigeria also support his anti-corruption drive where he attempts to clean up the filthy Nigerian system for our general good.

Buhari has recently picked a no-nonsense, unbendable man of integrity from retirement to come sanitise the Nigerian customs which is a cesspit of corruption. It is no surprise that only the bitter souls from our midst would never see anything right about Buhari's moves and would always move to oppose just for the very sake of it. Goodluck!

The point is that, these guys are just bitter and are just out to draw blood irrespective of whose ox is gored. So far the people opposed to these appointments have proven beyond reasonable doubt that the don't care about the competence of the said individual. All they are bent on doing is just to oppose, oppose and oppose even if the result of the policies they oppose favours them or not. These are just the typical traits of bitter souls.

[b]The POINT should be; 'Is the complaint CONSTITUTIONALLY LEGITIMATE given the operation of due process and rule of law'! It does not matter who brings it up. If we desire to live in a progressive and just society, then the actions of every citizen, particularly ELECTED officials, MUST always be guided by the CONSTITUTION, and MUST follow DUE PROCESS and RULE of LAW!

Somebody should quickly ask Buhari where is the due process in his administration?

An educated leader with certificates can not go against due process in appointees because he would fear being drag to the court of law to question the lack of due process in his leadership.

This is an embarrassment to his leadership if he doesn't know.
