Do you even understand what the op said. They re talking of bad roads and poor/unmaintained drainage system and you are talking of flooding. If there is any flood, it is man-made and not natural.

This is Itedo Road my friend. Lekki Phase 1 is the left hand side of the road, and Itedo community is at the right side of the road. That road is abandoned because poor people live on the right hand, and Lekki Phase 1 is left side of the road. I used that road 3 days ago by mistake. Thank God I was using the Range Rover, I had put the vehice on High Suspension height to navigate out of the terrible spot. I dont know why government hates to fix roads where poor people live.

Tinubu/Fashola/Ambode have been in charge of Lagos state for 16 years plus with their progreTHIEF administration.
Budget has increased over 10 times from less than N45 billion in 2000 to almost N500 billion in 2014.
Yet we have roads like this in a "POSH" area like Lekki angry angry

These SCAMMERS really got us CHEAP, walahi!

APC through Lie Mohammed made us to believe the only government in Nigeria is Federal Government.

The Local government 22 percent monthly allocation is not under view

The state government 26 percent should not be mentioned

The millions of Naira constituency allowance paid to our law makers are going into private and individual treasury without any accountability.

how did we end up here

All blames for failures of the above federal structures goes to GEJ.

almost everywhere on the island floods especially victoria island and lekki peninsula because they sit between the lagoon and the atlantic ocean.
that road has not recieved attention because of the itedo community that is situated on the right side and surprisingly they succeeded in court to stop the government from demolishing their shanties.
However that hardly affects the affluent residents of lekki phase 1 as they own suvs.
vgc is worse, after a heavy downpour the entrance becomes a lake.
infact to live on the island you need an suv.
