Is it wrong for a Christian to have an interest in knowing about the cultural/traditional practices of his people/place of origin?

Explain better.

I mean like him attending festivals, funerals and other such occasions so that he knows what is done during such. Mind you, he does not practice them neither does he participate in them. His main reason is just for self knowledge and not be viewed as not knowledgeable during conversation about them.

dunno, really.

if he's attending such festivals as a tourist, then he should pray very well, especially if its a deeply occultic festival.

For regular or general festivals, might not be a big deal.

I don't understand the "funeral" part.

lord have mercy.
