JUDE OWUAMANAM, JOS Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has given seven permanent secretaries in the state compulsory retirement while nine others have been demoted to the position of directors. The nine were part of those that were promoted at the twilight of the former administration of Jonah Jang. In a statement in Jos on Sunday by the Mrs. Hulda Fwangchi, and made available to our correspondent, the governor said the exercise was part of the recommendations of his transition committee and part of the administration’s desire for change and effective service delivery. The statement added that the governor had appointed 12 other permanent secretaries. Those retired are Mr. Isaac Wadak, Mr. Habila Dung, Mrs. Julie Anpe, Mr. Bankat Tokkes, Alhaji Mustapha Galadima, Mrs. Ruth Biangten, and Mr. Simon Pam. Those demoted are Mrs. Vou Dido, Dr. Ezekiel Pam, Sunday Biggs, Solomon Dawal, Wuyep Rajib, Julius Shinkur, Dagwon Davou.
