For all the projects he carried in the state for eight years, the immediate past Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido has said that he did not borrow a dime from any bank to fund those projects.

He also said that the total contractual liability of the state at the time he left office stood at about N13 billion but added that it could come to about N2 billion if the money he left behind for verified projects and the debt owed the state by the federal government was settled, it could come down to N2 billion.
