This is an interesting update, I eventually got a nokia n96 from a nairalander, I was fortunate to also get a tv out cable from her for a small fee. However, getting home and testing the cable wif my tv, it was only the audio with a locked symbol on mobile tv.(other applications were showing naturally) So dissapointed was I that I eventually decided to update the firmware, it came with 10.0.0 and I Updated it to 12.0.0.

While the update was going on, I browsed thru user opinion on gsm arena, and discovered that someone was actually advised to install a programm that can enable him watch locked content on tv, this programm is x-plore immediately i finished the update (which took about 3hrs) i went ahead to also install the application.

After all that, I tried watching it on tv again and guess what, Its live on tv. As i type this am watching Mancity vs Pmouth live on super sport 3 on big screen tv thru the fone.

@mjay what application did u install on ur phone? And which version, send the site where u got the info to my email or copy and paste here so i can go thru

N900 doesn't support .sis. I doubt it will install the Mobile TV app

guys my dstv is finally working,but when i connect my n96 to my tv in tv out mode and start the dstv it shows a blue screen with a crossed padlock what can i do

Its a drm restriction imposed by mtn to some firmware version. It could be unintentional,u just have to keep trying it on tv. Find out if ur phone has a new firmware update either by OTA by *#0000# then search for update. Try and see if u hv a new update

So mtn is messing with us

My African Magic has not bn working since yesterday, (other channels are on) anyone noticed it or is it just me? It says 'no live content available for this channel' cld it be temporary? os is it a gradual disengagement? Please confirm, if urs is like dt or not.

no problem then. I hope it is not the beginining of subscrption strategy, they shld be thinking of adding to the channels not removing from it.

I just discovered that magic world is now showing 'africa magic world' ds is where they show many yoruba movies, soo its another african magic. Not bad at all.

I'm now beginning to enjoy the mobile dstv stuff, now that the Magic World channel has been replaced with Magic World Africa. I can now enjoy those latest Yoruba films now. Kudos to Mtn and Multichoice
