Wike said "for record purpose, I wish to tell this forum that Rivers state did not get bailout funds from the federal government . it is important to let you know the facts, before people start saying a different thing."
But this left the masses with the question of why?

Did Rivers State request for bailout? Ordinarily Rivers shouldn't ask for bailout? After the first meeting of the governors with the President, Wike was shown I need television saying that the state was owing only two months. He further stated that a state like Rivers shouldn't owe salaries at all. Perhaps he's following up on his statement.
