this is my first day writing here on nairaland...nairalanders please dont insult hw i write alittle nervous dats all..Back to d topic...most tyms we hear or listen to women cryin about an abusive husband buh no1 ever think d oda way round.there are lots of men been beating by their wives buh dey neva com out to tell pple about it.

my question here is.....

1-why do men keep quiet wen their wives abuse them physically
2-why do women beat up their husbands.are they cursed or wat

1. I heard they get laughed at by fellow men when they tell the story or when they go report it to the police. The police laugh too.

2. In most cases I know, the man is the one that does the beating 1st & the woman simply gets tired & fight back.

I have a relative just like that, she checks him well

Only a physically strong woman will be able to overcome a man and beat him.

Most times this act is carried out by aggressive women.

I think the same measure of punishment wivesbeaters face should be given to husbandsbeaters too

There are many men who are physically fit whose wives slap or punch them at will because of their law-abiding and gentle nature. Most of these men are in countries with strong laws prohibiting violence against women.

Even here in Nigeria there are many men who endure verbal abuse (and a few slaps) from their wives because they are gentlemen who have vowed never to hit a woman. It is fairly common for husbands to be abused but they'd rather not speak out for obvious reasons.

I pray I don't marry any such woman. I don't want my patience to be sorely tempted cos I could snap and things could get really bad for her.
