Don't be apt to speak. Be wary of speech. For a Christian, speech making must not be spontaneous. The tongue is the barometer for perfection. The Bible says a fool is known for long talk/multitude of words. The fool and the wise are known by by how they use their tongues.
With the tongue James 3:9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
The above verse shows that Christians must never curse.
