The Nigerian government has said it is ready to negotiate with Boko Haram terrorists on the release of over 200 abducted school girls.

A tweet by Femi Adesina, special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, said discussions with some leaders of the terrorist group is ongoing. He however noted that the Nigerian government is yet to ascertain the genuity of the terrorists’ leaders it is having the discussions with.

“PMB: We are talking with Boko Haram over Chibok girls. But we need to ensure they are genuine leaders, then we negotiate,” Adesina tweeted. Adesina said this was made known by the president in Paris. The president is currently on an official visit to France to discuss security, investment among many others.

276 female students of Government Secondary School Chibok, Borno State were abducted from the hostels by members of Boko Haram terrorists. While 57 of the girls managed to escape from their abductors, 219 others are still held captive by the group since April 14, 2014 they were all abducted.

Previous efforts by the past government administration, led by Goodluck Jonathan to negotiate with the group failed leaving hopes dashed on the rescue of the girls. There has also been controversies over negotiating with the group to secure the release of the girls. Also, Adesina said the president said if Nigeria must make progress, corruption must be stooped.

“PMB in Paris: Corruption is an enemy that must be stopped, if we are to make progress. There are land-mines ahead, but we remain unwavering,” he said.

Meanwhile, Buhari has urged investors in the European country not to miss the huge opportunities in Nigeria. The president who was speaking at a meeting of investors at the Nigerian-France presidential business forum, told his audience that there was more to Nigeria than just oil exploration. Brother this your news is capital fake....the 200 girls have being used for other things, I am sure they were sme of the females being strapped with bombs. Do you think BH will just keep the girls in a room nd wait fr FG? But I still pray for them to be recovered, but the issue of amnesty is ruled out, the NA has given them a deafening blow, so no need for amnesty.

Buhari opt to compensate his boys and release the girls he held captive. Be sure that money you will pay your boys aren't our oil money. The North can generate money and pay their messengers.
