Ambode and Tinubu are two different politicians with the same brain, they are really selfish, instead of them to focus their energy on developing Lagos State, the chose to attack Fashola and whoever is on Fashola's side... Lagosian might soon begin to regret voting him into power.

These Helicopters generate revenue too, of the present two, one is used for commercial purpose and one is on standby for the Governor, buying more isn't bad as the state has the resources....

stop this rubbish post you use to occupy space, start a thread to get people's attention not this nonsense. Also, your moniker is an insult to goat. You are useful for one thing which is serving as a bad example.

uselessgoat:
[b]There is a popular saying that to keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done. We need ourselves more than ever. There is strenght in our diversity and if properly utilized we can build a stronger Nigeria. The Igbos really need to drop this idea of Biafra because it is dead on arrival. Secession is not the solution to the high poverty rate in the south east neither will it eliminate greedy politicians who have refused to let the SE thrive. The igbos need to look inward and look for ways they can develop their region within the Nigerian context. We the Yorubas are not bothered about breaking away. We worked so hard to develop Lagos and the South west so everyone can thrive and this is why the igbos and other tribes keeps flocking to the SW to tap from the potentials and opportunities Yoruba land has to offer. This is the kind of mentality the Igbos need to develop. South sudan broke away from sudan and still nothing has changed because they remain poor and depend on aids to survive. The igbos need to work together with every section of Nigeria so they can be relevant in the Nigerian system instead of calling we the Yoruba's slaves to Hausa-fulani. The igbos are the real slaves here because they are the ones in bondage and yearning for freedom. The igbos should remember the last civil war and never allow Nnamdi Kanu to lure them into another blood bath. Biafra is a dream that cant be realized. We will support the Hausa-Fulanis to resist any form of secession. We will defend the unity of One Nigeria just like we did in the late 60's. A word is enough for the wise.

Don't embellish this rabbish governor, all indicators are flagging red, whatever projects he's completing now should be attributed to Fashola, all we are seeing now is that most of the good works and ideas Fashola introduced and left behind are all flagging red. Lagos state is again becoming sanctuary for armed robbers, No street light on some criminals haven highways again. he has no ideas, always reading prepared speeches here and there.......

[b]The greatest irony of all is that, generally speaking, the Igbo detest Awolowo so much and have done everything that is physically possible to malign and discredit him since 1967. Yet this was the man whose party went into an alliance with them at the most critical point in our history (between 1964 and 1966) and who wanted the Yoruba to work closely with them. Due to Ojukwu's greed and willingness to be president of Biafra, He failed to honor the terms of the Aburi Accord signed in Ghana which eventually led to the civil war. The Igbos do not teach their children all the good works of Awolowo to the Igbo tribe and instead they tell them that Awolowo was the devil incarnate, a murderer of children, a genocidal maniac and an Igbo hater who ended up committing suicide out of frustration. These of course were all lies and well orchestrated fabrications that were designed to rubbish the man’s memory and legacy. They demonized Chief Awolowo, their friend and political ally, and on the night of Jan 15th 1966, during the course of the Ifejuna-led Igbo coup, amongst many others, they murdered Chief S.L. Akintola and Sir Ahmadu Bello (the Premiers of the Western and Northern Regions respectively) who were both their political adversaries, who saw through them at an early stage and who had open contempt for them. This is one of the reasons why u see many bitter Igbos of this generation on Nairaland venting their anger and frustration and screaming they want Biafra due to the lies they have been fed with.

Till today only the Igbo can explain why they hated and still hate Awolowo and Yoruba so much. This is because he was their friend and ally when the crisis in the Western Region took place. I guess that their hatred stems from the role that he and the Yoruba played during the civil war. Yet I believe that Col. Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the Igbo rebel leader, made the greatest mistake by attempting to secede at the time that he did (against Awolowo’s advice) and worst still he attacked the Western Region with his Biafran forces even when many of our people had sympathy for their cause and plight.

It was Ojukwu that betrayed Awolowo and the Yoruba and not the other way around. This is because they fired the first shot and tried to overwhelm, capture and enslave us by attacking our territory with their forces. They overwhelmed the people of the south south and Midwest very easily but when they got to the Western region at a place called Ore they were stopped in their tracks by the Yoruba forces and the famous 3rd Marine Commando which was a 98 per cent Yoruba fighting force. That is how they were prevented from entering Yoruba land and they were pushed back, inch by inch, from the Midwest and south south (by the same 3rd Marine Commando) back into Igbo land until they were broken, defeated and forced to surrender.

The moral of the story is Yoruba's have always stood by the Igbos and we always loved them until Ojukwu became greedy and decided to break away hereby betraying our trust and support for the Igbos.

Say no to Biafra

God bless our united Nigeria.

This is what happens when you are afflicted with the syndrome of '' even if he presents nepa bill i will vote for him''.
This guy looks like a poor governor and an injustice to lagos.
Voting for ambode instead of the very intelligent jimi agbaje can only be termed as madness.

Mr Ambode doesn't look like he will achieve half of Fashola's achievements in Lagos.

I think Tinubu picked the wrong person this time for the Lagos job.
Re: Lagos Government To Buy New Helicopter by anonimi: 10:34am On Sep 17, 2015
What priority do these state governors have sef
No need to increase teachers in government schools for greater teacher/student interaction.
No.
No need to build more schools for children that cannot attend schools.
No.
No need to build more classrooms for improved learning environment.
No.
Meanwhile focus on this would create EMPLOYMENT for our youths and ensure development of our society.

Why should I be surprised when we praised Fashola as excellent when he only had 14% (2,000 government schools out of 14,000) in a pivotal sector for development such as education.

Very good...

Buy helicopter and thus avoid using the roads.

That way, the roads will become worse than they already are since you're gonna become chronic flier.

How nice for Lagos and our BAT.

Is doing what tinubu and oba Akinolu instructed him to do. Is just a care-taker, he need to take instruction from Oba Akinolu and Tinubu before taking any decision. The guy no wise, they will use is hand to steal and destroy him later like Fashola. He got no choice because he knew is never a lagosian and they that put him there can nail him if he dare say pem. In 2019, APC will come with their usual propaganda and higihaga that 'lagosians! look at what baba body movement have done at federal level let us vote in Gbajabiamila as our rightful candidate because Ambode as failed us'. The mumu lagosians wont assess their performance at state level but use federal to judge state, hence they vote in gbajabiamila and the slavery continue.
A poor state like Ekiti, someone in Lagos asked the mumu former governor to purchase an helicopter at a questionable rate of 6billion from is company 'beeview', thank for fayose that cancel the contract when the state was still owing 5months salary. Aregbesola too was told to buy from their progressive father's company, he did buy sha at the rate of 6billion naira also when the allocation of the state is nothing to write home about. Abeg wetin osun won use helicopter do? We all know what is happening in d state aftermath. Amosun and Ajimobi refused to buy against their father's command. Atleast, they are managing their state even though oyo is facing a great recession currently

Is that the first gift Tinubu requires from Ambode??

There is much more work to be done in the No Man's Land.

Buying a helicopter is the least of the problems of No Man's Land especially as it already has two.

There are the slums to be rearranged, there are the brown roofs to be changed grin and so much dirt on the streets to be cleared out angry

The man is planning to loot the state.
