Ghosts never made premiership what it is.
The best criticism you can offer is to organize similar events that will get the who is who around the world to visit wherever you host it.
You can start with your village uh?

Noted! I would begin by developing sports in my village. grin

This is idiotic, totally unacceptable and very shameful. Nigerians better wake up, this current system of governance will never take this country anyway in the next 1000 years.

How many times has Dangote (the richest man in West Africa and potential buyer of Arsenal) left his cement and sugar factory to go and watch Arsenal?

That governor is empty and a looter otherwise he has enough issues in his state to busy himself with.

@koolmexxi Niger state Governor Abu lolo is not a poor man he can afford to travel to London 100 times over and over again. going to standford bridge does not necessarily means he spending Niger state money to travel o.k.
I'm not saying he is cos obviously he's a well known businessman in the state. . My point is if he had won under PDP people would have been quick to accuse him of lavishing state funds forgetting some of them actually were making a living before coming to govt.

I see how passionate these people are about football in their country especially on CL night.

E dey pain me well well cos these people no get anytin pass us but things dey work for their country.

Instead of us to call for better governace we are supporting them for using our money for holiday in foreign country that is well managed by their public officers.

So you would also support the NASS for doing nothing but going on recess in the last four months enjoying themselves all over the world.

My broda think! Think!!!

Politicians dey scam u and u dey support dem say dem dey enjoy dia sef
Don't bring politics into this bro, I'm not in support of the Governor either, but all that concerns me is that "the Governor watching football in Stamford bridge"

I'm ashamed to be a Nigerlites right now when people like Elrufa'I are busy planning reading thinking on how to develop the state my Governor was at Stanford bridge shame on those supporting this stupid idea by the Governor

Why should Mikel invite a Gov to discuss partnership just for building academy?academy for whose development?Myopic set of people who came to power because of PMB

So if for instance Obama or UK Prime Minister invites him on talks for investment drive, he should push it aside on d bases dt, Nigerlites r gonna complain. You need to ubunderstand that a leader is permitted to take concrete and decisive steps even in the midst of strong criticism as long as such move can bring about positive change and it is result-oriented.

at his level you are absolutely sure he's spending tax payers money on this trip...he's been a rich person before public office and he usually watches high profile games...I know this because I know him that closely...

ModiKen:

It won't be wrong.

But is Sani Bello the Governor of Niger state a private citizen or a public official who ought to be careful how he spends tax payers money in his state?

Answer sincerely

Cant you reason for once and stop being an African bimbo? He has told you what is wrong with it as well as offer what should or could have happened instead.

But no, you probably are listening to Rihanna or some entertainment bs and can't demand for a better life for your family and country.

You don't know me so don't conclude that I'm poor.

I'm neither rich nor poor, just in between.

I this country where I reside (somewhere in Europe), I see how fans of the clubs here are passionate about their football clubs, how they are eager to close from work on time or close shops just to get to the stadium on time to see their favourite teams especially on Champions League night.

I'm pained deeply cos I wish its the same way in my country cos we have all it takes to be the best in the world

Now would you call that poverty mentality??!
To b honest Nigerian football is uninteresting,so if a person chooses to support and enjoys himself with a foreign club so be it. I hav bn following soccer since '98 and started supporting a foreign club since y2k. Private investment is d only thing dat can market and change d face of soccer in naija,it's nt d responsibility of d govt, dats wat they do in Europe and elsewhere. Its a pity! What can one say when the young folks who find themselves in position of high public TRUST are making the same mistake our elders made. We use to have a team call NIGER TORNADOES, the governor should do something positive for sports in Niger State not Stamford Bridge or Emirates.

Thanks for opening my eyes to an angle for improving Nigerian sports; Private Investment.

But who is to set the structure for these privately invested clubs and competitions to operate and thrive, the govt.

Well as the saying goes, "na cooperation det make rice full pot", I think it would take a joint effort from both the govt and private sector to rescue our Nigerian league from the messy state it is today.

May your days be long!

Where is Niger Tornadoes today in the NPL and in African continental competition?

Would the world end if Niger Tornadoes play the Chelsea he went to watch at the World Club Championship?

Enyimba of Aba made it to that same comptition two years in a row, thanks to the proper structure and investment by then Abia state governor, Orji Uzor Kalu.

Well as u said our young leaders keep making the same mistakes as the elder ones.

So please talk to him, tell him that Niger Tornadoes can also be at the level where Chelsea is today; in terms of structure, facilities and investment.

Ask him if one day he won't like to travel to Paris, France to watch Niger Tornadoes play Chelsea at the final of the World Club Championship.

It is very possible. Enyimba of Aba did it two years in a row.

Lets get things right in our beloved country so our children yet unborn would enjoy the fruits of a better Nigeria

So a state governor going to watch a football match in England is same as giving to charity?

However if I decide to give to charity putside Nigeria, you cant question my motives or intentions cos its my personbal money and I'm not a public official.

Fortunately, this man is a public figure and we have to question his actions and moves cos he been paid from our common wealth.
