Few observations on this proceedings 1.There are more SAN than the charges in this case. 2 The Tribunal has no sentencing power to imprisonment 3.The issue of jurisdiction has not been decided by Court of Appeals or the supreme court. 4.The prosecution are just intrested to see Saraki in the dock for photo opportunity 5. The timing of the prosecution suggest persecution and political undertones 6 . Even if Saraki is found guilty. and the Tribunal ruled that he must vacate the ( SENATE PRESIDENCY) he will certainly appeal and the matter will be in the Supreme court until 2023. 7. If Saraki were to be removed as Senate President , then Ekweremadu becomeds the Senate President. Shout One naijeyira. 1 Like |

HzRF:.......if a criminal act was established against him today, the highest he would do is to seek for appeal from a higher court but he would be held in custody so tell me what would his appeal grant him? I hope it wasn't too sunny at your side today? |

omenka: They don't think we are fools. They know we are. If Nigerians are not fools, tell me, how will a former coupist and dictator win a presidential election? How could Obasanjo become a president for a second time without achieving anything, and some people still worship him? Nigerians are fools! 6 Likes 1 Share |

Naija Politics is more interesting than House of Cards....... The strategies and games being played of late need to be documented and somehow included in HOC Season 6. At times like this Sakari needs someone like Olivia Pope on his team. I have bought enough kuli kuli and Ekpa for the upcoming drama that would unfold during the screening of the ministers. The senators have no choice but to show support for Saraki cause if he eventually goes down, it will set a precedence which may consume most of them. To save face, they will all have to do a deal with PMB so as not be in his firing line. And the deal will be ' Pass all my bills and approve my team with no hitches and we wouldn't dig up your dirt. Our Senators are fickle they will always go for self preservation over party affiliations regardless of which party they belong to. At the end of all this, failing a few scratches and a few of PMB's men getting cut in the crossfire, PMB will win and Nigeria will be better for it. I don't think its a fair way to fight corruption but at all at all na hin bad pass. |

CSTR2: What exactly are you driving at? You want Nigeria to progress and you don't want corruption and impunity to stop. haba. No wonder a nairalander said he would prefer to be a slave in America where rule of law exists than to be a Freeborn in this Jungle called Nigeria where criminals not only walk free but also make laws for law abiding citizens. 2 Likes |
