Buhari is a soldier not n economist. We Nigerians don't know what we want. We were in a dilemma to choose between peace or prosperity -not both. We preferred peace. But the truth is gej was a money making machine n no matter how much was stolen under him, ther ws still more left. kiss. Wat we actually needed was prosperity. The word peace is a farce.

Most comments here point to the fact that the present government is not doing enough to stimulate our economic growth. I felt this decline in the economic activities since the first quarter of the year. Business activities slowed down and virtually stagnated. Banks are no longer lending. Debtors are finding it very difficult to pay back. People are playing cautious. No body seems to understand the economic blue print of the current administration, that is assuming they have any. With the refusal to appoint ministers, contracts are not being awarded and money is not circulating as it should. Even states are having difficulties in meeting with their obligations. The present administration can do better than telling us how badly our economy had been managed in the past; Let them show us how it should be done, BY DOING IT! Time is ticking.

My stance too. You can't go far by looking backwards. Tell me any athlete that ever won a race by looking backwards while running towards the finish mark.

Thank you my brother, for breaking it down in a lay man's language. Some of us are still wondering what exactly hit us. The truth remains that you can't eat your cake and still have the same cake in your hands. The best the present administration can do is to come up with the best technocrats to take up the necessary engine rooms of this nation. Otherwise hunger go strike and the people will look for unimaginable ways to survive. The sooner the better.
