Pope Francis will be rewriting history today as he will be the first Pope to address a joint session of US congress. The event promises to be explosive cum entertaining as their guest would venture into into the most slippery terrain in politics. Members of congress notably, the Republicans are protesting the the inevitable content of the pope's speech, as the pope would not only be touching sensitive areas but will explore its limit.
The Democrats would not be left out of the proceedings having incurred the wrath of the Holy See through their crave for abortion and same-sex marriage. But for the republicans who appear to be on same page with him, the pope would not only be "sanding their garri" by teaching them their trade, he will also pile pressure on their GOP candidates, who are already sitting at the edge of their seat to reconsider their stand on vital issues.
The Argentine born pope, has stated he would only be emphasizing the church centuries old teaching and nothing new on its social, economic, health etc teaching.
